Production Operations Manager

The Production Operations Manager is responsible for implementing and overseeing production workflow and process across the company. This is a central Production role, which spans several key departments such as New Projects, Production, Finance and Systems. Regular in-person presence in our studios (London and Paris) is essential for better collaboration, understanding of cultural nuances and and efficient decision-making. This is a new role and there is scope to have significant input into how the role evolves.
Responsibilities:
- Partnering with the Global Head of Production and Systems to establish production workflow and process across production and company wide platforms and inform and instil best practices across the production department
- Facilitating communication between Production and relevant departments to maintain and develop production systems
- Project initiation, planning and execution via task force by formulating objectives and goals, conducting extensive research to gather information and data related to the objectives and goals
- Developing a clear and comprehensive action plan, including timeline and milestones
- Defining the roles and responsibilities of each task force member, ensuring that all tasks are delegated effectively
- Ensuring that the task force operates in a transparent and inclusive manner, engaging all stakeholders and seeking input and feedback
- Contributing to the overall company strategy, to ensure technical and operational efficiency
- Supporting active projects in production to assist in successful delivery: - Report design and development - Technical support for internal and external reports - Establish ShotGrid process and development
- Production learning and development programs
- Training modules and upkeep of production documentation
What we are looking for:
- Previous VFX production vendor experience at a senior level
- Experienced in budgeting, scheduling, executing and delivering VFX projects
- An excellent understanding of the VFX production process from concept to completion
- Good familiarity with post-production pipelines, techniques and software
- ShotGrid front-end and back-end administration experience
- Experience with Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) and schema design is an advantage, but not essential

- Google Workspace
- Microsoft Office
- Autodesk ShotGrid (Administrator - Power User)
Preferable Hard Skills:
- Relational Database Management Systems
- Hands-on knowledge in programming languages e.g: JavaScript Python SQL Visual Basic (VBA)
Languages:
- Fluency in English is essential
- French speaking would be an advantage, but is not essential
All roles, including hybrid/remote opportunities, at One of Us require candidates to reside in the UK or France, depending on the location of the role, or must be willing to relocate for the duration of the contract. All candidates must disclose if they have an existing Right to Work in the relevant country, or would require sponsorship support, i.e. Visa.
