Head of Finance, reporting into the Director of Finance & Operations
This role will lead the finance team, drive financial strategy and accuracy of financial reporting of our London and Paris studios. The Head of Finance will collaborate with other departments to support the successful delivery of internal and external projects.
We’ll keep you busy with:
- Daily and Monthly Forecasting and analysis of Projects and their key financial metrics
- Preparation of the annual budget and long range forecasts with quarterly assessment of performance against this
- Ownership of Group Financial Reporting with analysis on movements.
- Working closely with our Financial Controller to give management commentary on financial reports
- Manage and mentor the Finance Team
- Presentation of Financial Reports to Senior Management.
- Ownership of Group Cash Reporting
- Assist with setting key financial metrics and strategies on OOU Projects
- Business Partnering with Production and Development teams to discuss Financial Metrics and Milestones
- Assist the Project Development team in preparing bids and rebate scenarios
- Quality check and approval of all Producer bids before they’re sent to client
- Improve overall understanding of financial KPI's and performance across the business
- Reviewing Production Accountants Cost Reports and Interrogating numbers where necessary
- General FP&A tasks when required.
We’d love you to have:
- Post qualified accountant experience (CIMA, ACCA, ACA, CPA or equivalent) with an undergraduate degree in accountancy or finance
- Previous experience as a Head of Finance or Financial Controller in the media, entertainment or creative industries
- Group or Board Level Reporting Experience
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with an impeccable attention to detail and the ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels of the company, particularly with non-financial colleagues
- Advanced Microsoft Excel & Google Sheets skills (Index/Match, VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Sumifs, Array formulas etc.) and the ability to create and work in complex financial models
- Background in visual effects / Film or TV production desirable but not essential
- Knowledge of UK and France Film & TV Tax Rebates would be advantageous
- A commercial mind, with highly developed financial modelling and analytical skills
- Ability to remain calm and confident in a fast-paced, multiple show production environment

Hours and location
Our core hours are 9.30am to 6.30pm or 10am to 7pm Monday to Friday.
We have a great office in Old Street where you would be based. This is a Hybrid working role and you would be required to work from the office 2 days of the week.
