One of Us is looking for a Tech Project Manager to help support our technical teams. The goal of this role is to provide structure and organisation for short and long term projects, whilst collaborating with our internal VFX shows to ensure their requirements are met.

Given the many lines of communication and at times high pressure environment, the right candidate will be approachable, diplomatic and empathetic when liaising with internal and external teams.

Responsibilities:

• Helping the team achieve a high level of performance and quality, holding teams accountable for their work, removing obstacles
• Defining a project’s schedule and scope while balancing this with timely and regular value deliveries
• Organising and leading working and project status meetings
• Delivering Agile projects that offer outstanding business value
• Supporting the product owner in managing communications with stakeholders, managing customer’s expectations for deliverables and implementing an effective project governance system
• Promoting team empowerment through team-building techniques, ensuring each team member is making a meaningful contribution and fully engaged in the project
• Supporting with the departments development, assisting with planning to support the Lead Data Operator, Head of Pipeline and Head of Technology
• Tracking Technology Metrics
• Forecasting
• Team line management and development for Project Coordinator and Project Assistant
• Aligning projects across all technical teams
• Helping support the Project Coordinator and Project Assistant with how they manage scheduling and priorities daily and weekly data tasks
• Supporting Technology and Production teams by escalating tasks and issues to the correct departments/people
• Helping manage long term development plans (i.e. quarter plans, reports, roadmaps) with Pipeline Leads/Supes based on studio requirements
• Managing development projects in Jira and with the department
• Scheduling testing as part of development project milestones and ensuring Project Assistant secures time with relevant stakeholders
• Working with HODs to identify relevant stakeholders
• Attending development meetings to ensure Technology has information they require for development projects
• Planning relevant calls and meetings required to keep development projects moving forward
• Ensuring the Team are following priorities and goals set out by studio
• Planning roll out requirements (documentation, demos etc)

Essential skills:

• Experience with Jira or other ticketing systems and project management tools
• An appreciation of the life cycles of technical projects and adapting to their various challenges
• Basic Level of Gsheets and Excel
• Basic understanding of VFX Workflows
• Organised with good time management and prioritisation skills
• Able to give attention to detail
• A clear communicator
• Enthusiastic and excited to learn
• Have an interest in VFX technical workflows

Preferable skills:

• Experience with ShotGrid or other production tracking tools (i.e. ftrack)
